Roof drainage problems often lead to the same issue: water pooling near the house and slowly wearing away at the foundation. That’s exactly what we saw on this job. The existing slope around the home was failing, and water from the roofline was collecting at the base of the walls.
To solve the problem, we used the dirt from our grading work to build up key areas along the house perimeter. We shaped these areas to form a gentle slope away from the home. That way, any water falling near the wall would follow gravity and flow outward—not pool up and cause erosion.
After the grading was complete, we seeded the fresh soil and added a layer of straw for erosion control. This helps the slope hold its shape, encourages grass to grow in, and reduces runoff during future storms.
