Congrats! You finally have your pool installed and you can’t wait to start using it, but you have one last step before you can start enjoying it. Chances are, if you’re reading this, you have to fill in around the pool with dirt so that it is level with the surrounding yard.
Some pool installers in Middle Tennessee do not backfill pools after installation which puts the burden on the homeowner to find a contractor to do so. We have worked with many people in the Brentwood, Franklin, and Spring Hill area to overcome this last step and finally start enjoying their pool.
Most in ground pool installations will require rock for drainage, filling in dirt around the pool, off haul of excess dirt, and grass seed or sod installation. For this type of work you can expect to pay anywhere from $3,000 to $7,000 depending on the amount of work required. Factors that would lead your project to the high end would include if dirt or topsoil needs to be brought in, large amounts of rock are needed for drainage, seeding or sodding large areas, or if the area has difficult access to grade around.
